He subsequently completed his Orthopaedic Surgery internship and residency at Southern Illinois University College of Medicine, before undertaking his fellowship in Adult & Pediatric Spine Surgery at the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic.
Dr. Barker is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, and maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Aurora-Adams County Medical Society, the Denver Medical Society, and the Cervical Spine Research Society. He has a special interest in degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, scoliosis, spine trauma, spinal tumors, minimally invasive procedures, and total disc arthroscopy. Dr, Barker attributes his success to his excellent training, as well as his interactions with his patients.
