The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Jean E. Kono, RN to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Jean E. Kono is a Registered Nurse with 50 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially mental health and education. Jean is currently retired and living in Iowa. She was previously affiliated with Genesis Health System, Mercy Hospital, and St. Luke’s Hospital.
Jean’s long and successful career in nursing began in 1962 when she graduated with her initial Nursing Degree. An advocate for continuing education, Jean went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1978 from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa, before undertaking graduate courses at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Jean attributes her success to wanting to care for people, and looking forward to seeing them improve and return to function. In her free time, Jean enjoys bowling, making cards, and sewing.
