Dr. Joshua Olson is a highly-trained and qualified Ophthalmologist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Olson has been in practice for more than eight years and is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences within the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also sees patients in the University of Minnesota General Ophthalmology Clinic, and is affiliated with Fairview Southdale Hospital and the Phillips Eye Institute.
Dr. Joshua Olson’s career in medicine began in 2008 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota. Following his graduation, he subsequently completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Olson is involved in the clinical and surgical education of medical students and residents. He also participates in the recruitment and evaluation of patients for various clinical medicine trials. To keep up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Olson maintains a professional membership with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He attributes his success to his excellent mentors, and when he is not working, Dr. Olson enjoys rock climbing.
