Bastiano is an Advanced Practice Nurse with over 44 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially mental health nursing and substance abuse. Dr. Bastiano is currently serving patients within James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. In addition, she is also serving as Director of Nursing at Psychiatric Solutions Inc.

Dr. Pamela A. Bastiano’s career in nursing began in 1974 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Southern Connecticut State University. An advocate for continuing education, Dr. Bastiano went on to obtain her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 1981 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by gaining her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2014 from Chatham University.

Dr. Bastiano is a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist-Board Certified, and for her excellence, she was honored with a Nursing Research Award. She keeps up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field by reading The American Journal of Psychiatry, and attributes her successful career to staying on top of current info and what is happening in the nursing profession, as well as her hard work. When she is not assisting her patients, Dr. Bastiano dedicates her free time to going to the beach and playing movies.
