Esteemed Nursing Director Karen Sue Leis, RN, BSN, CNOR, will be Honorably Mentioned in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Karen Sue Leis, RN, BSN, CNOR, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Karen Sue Leis is a Nursing Director and Independent Contractor. Karen has been affiliated with  well known organizations such as Mayo Clinic Health System and Gundersen Health System in La Crosse Wisconsin.  Karen has over 30 years of extensive experience in Surgical Services and nine years in leadership.

Karen Sue Leis’ career in nursing began in 1982 when she graduated with her Surgical Tech Diploma from the Western Wisconsin Technical College. An advocate for continuing education, Karen went on to obtain her nursing degree from Southwest Technical College, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Winona State University. She holds additional certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Perioperative Management and Perioperative Education, and is a Certified Nurse, Operating Room.

To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Karen maintains a professional membership with the American Nurses Association, the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, and the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Association for Advancement of Medical Instruments, and American College of Healthcare Executives. For her excellence, she has been honored by the Wisconsin Nurses Association. She attributes her success to being passionate about her job, wanting and working for positive outcomes, and continuing her education. When she is not assisting patients and staff, Karen enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, and her farm, especially her chickens.
