The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Catherine M. Retskin, DNP, RN-ACM, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Catherine M. Retskin is currently serving patients as a Clinical Quality Data Specialist for the Care Management Department within Mission Health System in Asheville, North Carolina. With over 22 years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, Dr. Retskin specializes in case management, labor, and delivery.
Catherine M. Retskin graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing from Trocaire Care College in Buffalo, New York. An advocate for continuing education, Dr. Retskin gained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 2011 from Walden University, followed by her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from the same educational venue in 2014. She is currently working towards her PhD at Walden University with a projected graduation, and is undertaking a fellowship in care management. Additionally, she is a Certified Case Manager, and is also a Registered Nurse, Certified.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Dr. Retskin maintains a professional membership with the Case Management Society of America, the American Case Management Association, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and the American Nursing Association. For her excellence, Dr. Retskin was honored with a Case Management Award, and a Women & Children Award. Dr. Retskin attributes her success to her flexibility, dedication, education, and her excellent mentor, Mary Ellen Wright, PhD, APRN, CRNP. She enjoys helping patients and their families, as well as working alongside others who share her passion. When she is not assisting her patients, Dr. Retskin enjoys attending school, reading, and traveling.
