Scott McGee has been in practice for more than two decades and is currently serving patients within Premier Orthopedics in Albany, Georgia.
Dr. T. Scott McGee received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with distinction from Virginia Military Institute. His career in medicine began in 1987 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia Medical School. Following his graduation, Dr. McGee completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Texas Tech University. He then went on complete an AO-ASIF fellowship in Salzburg, Austria under the guidance of Professor Herbert Resch with a special interest in shoulder surgery. Dr. McGee is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American Society of Medical Examiners.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. McGee is currently serving as an Assistant Clinical Associate Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine. Dr. McGee’s Army career was distinguished by his service as a combat orthopedic surgeon in Bosnia, as well as Panama. Having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. McGee’s military honors include a Purple Heart, Combat Medical Badge, Joint Meritorious Unit Citation, and an Expeditionary Medal with bronze arrowhead, Combat, Jordanian, and Australian parachute wings. He attributes his success to his holistic view, he takes in his patient’s lifestyle, desired outcome, and best solutions to effect repair. In his free time, Dr. McGee enjoys shooting sports, and aviation.
