Hewlett is a Urology Nurse and Charge Nurse currently serving patients within the Urology Clinic at Oroville Hospital in Plumas Lake, California. With over 9 years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, Desiree specializes in urology, OB/GYN, medical/surgical, ICU, and pediatric nursing.
Desiree M. Hewlett’s career in nursing began in 2007 when she graduated from North Orange County Regional Occupational Program, becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Since graduating, Desiree has undertaken specialist training in many areas of nursing, and is currently studying for an Urology Associate through the Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates.
Desiree works with the responsibility of providing general urology care, providing health education to patients, coordinating clinic and surgery scheduling and supervising other medical staff. To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in the challenging nursing field, Desiree maintains a professional membership with the International Nurses Association and The Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates. She attributes her success to her hard work, her passion for helping others, and the support of her family. When she is not assisting patients, Desiree enjoys painting.
