With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Carolyn Durandette, RN, MSN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Carolyn Durandette is a Registered Nurse with 43 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially endoscopy nursing, nurse education, pharmaceutical research, and first response in auto and motorcycle racing. Carolyn is currently on staff at Mission College in Santa Clara, California.
Carolyn’s career in nursing began in 1971 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. An advocate for continuing education, Carolyn went on to receive her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education in 2012 from the Grand Canyon University. Carolyn holds additional certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and in Pressure Monitoring, and is also a Trauma Nurse Specialist. Carolyn keeps up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field through her professional membership with the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, and the International Women’s Leadership Association.
Furthermore, Carolyn was honoured with an Award for Excellence in Race Medicine by Sports Car Club of America. Carolyn races motorcycles herself and has a passion for first response automobile and motorcycle racing. Carolyn was in charge of organizing volunteers in mission Malaysia to help the disabled, deaf, and jobless. Carolyn attributes her great success is to her continual drive for education and interest in her career. When she is not working, Carolyn dedicates her free time to motorcycle racing, reading, and crocheting blankets for hospice.
