Exceptional Registered Nurse, Sue Elizabeth Anne Kent, RN, PNSA, is to be Displayed in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Sue Elizabeth Anne Kent, RN, PNSA, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Sue holds 30 years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially as a nurse surgeon’s assistant, focusing on pre-op preparation, management, education, practice nursing, theater management, and nurse unit management. Sue is currently serving patients at North East Plastic Surgery.

Sue completed her Registered Nurse training at Central Gippsland Hospital, Traralgon where she received a Best Clinical Nursing award at graduation. She then undertook her grad year at Queen Victoria Medical Centre and Austin Health. Following her grad year, she commenced her Perioperative Nursing Course at Austin Health. She then continued working at Austin Health and became an ANUM for the Plastic and Thoracic Surgery Units, and was also a team member of the Liver Transplant Team, before working for a Plastic Surgeon in a private day procedure unit, when she undertook her Perioperative Nurse Surgeon’s Assistant course at Southern Cross University. She then began working at The Royal Melbourne Hospital where she was appointed ANUM Plastic Surgery until she became NUM of the Operating Theatres, prior to working for a short time at Monash Health as the ANUM Plastics, while working as a Surgeon’s Assistant. When this practice dissolved, she went on to work for one of their associates, Dr. Sugitha Seneviratne who formed North East Plastic Surgery, as a Surgeon’s Assistant.

To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, Sue maintains a professional membership with the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation, the Queensland Nurses Union, and the Australian College of Nursing. Sue attributes her great success to being person-focused, compassionate, having good communication skills with surgical teams and surgeons, and constantly learning and implementing evidence-based best practices. When she is not attending to her patients, Sue enjoys horseback riding, driving, reading, working out, and walking on the beach.
