Marykutty is a registered nurse with 28 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially wound care, medical-surgical nursing, and gynecology nursing. Marykutty is currently serving patients as a Skin Risk Resource Nurse at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Marykutty graduated with her Diploma in Nursing at I.H.M. School of Nursing BGM in India in 1987. She then attended Grand Canyon University and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2014. Marykutty is also a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse and Certified Wound Care Nurse. To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, maintains professional memberships with the Indian American Nurses Association of Greater Houston, the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society, the Indian Nursing Council, and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses.
For her excellence, Marykutty was honored with the Best Nurse Award in 2001 and the I CARE Award in 2015. As an international nurse, Marykutty enjoys the privilege to work in different countries such as India, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. She attributes her success to being very sincere, her hard work, and to her supportive husband. When she is not assisting patients, Marykutty enjoys reading, traveling, and visiting her friends.
