Pressanna Parackal is a nurse educator and house supervisor working for University Health System in San Antonio, Texas. With over 24 years of experience in nursing, she is a specialist in cardiac nursing and critical care nursing.
Pressanna Parackal earned her Nursing degree from St. Isabel’s Hospital School of Nursing in Chennai, India in 1992, becoming a Registered Nurse. Pressanna later completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downer’s Grove, Illinois. In 2014, a Master of Science in Nursing degree was earned from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and Pressanna is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, and holds a number of certifications, including Certified Critical Care Nurse, Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse, and Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.
Pressanna has nursed in many areas of the world, including India, Dubai and Saudi Arabia as well as Texas. She is now a leading nurse educator and house supervisor who also acts as a local professor in the University Health System. She is a member of the American Association of Registered Nurses, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. In addition, Pressanna is a previous winner of a prestigious Daisy award. She says that her success is due to her hard work and commitment to continual learning, and when she is not working, she enjoys traveling, reading and dancing.
