The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Gail Ann Silverman, RN to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Gail is a Registered Nurse with an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing. She is currently serving patients as the Director of Clinical Quality at WellPoint in Woodland Hills, California, and is also a Staff Developer for the State of California. With over 40 years of experience, Gail specializes in cardiovascular ICU, occupational health nursing, and disaster nursing. In addition, Gail is certified in Chemo Diameter Monitoring.
Gail was educated at Los Angeles Valley College, where she graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and her Nursing Certification in 1976. She is the recipient of the Tiffany Award from the American Red Cross, and speaks internationally providing disaster training. To keep up to date in her challenging field, Gail maintains a professional membership with the American Heart Association and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Gail chose a career in nursing due to caregiving nature, and attributes her great success to challenging herself, the opportunities given by others, and the excellent mentors she has had along the way. When she is not working, Gail enjoys volunteering, reading, cooking, going to the theater, and spending time with her dog.
