The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Kathryn S.E. Besten, RN to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Kathryn S.E Besten is a Case Managing Registered Nurse currently serving patients at Amedisys Home Health in Lexington, Kentucky. With over 26 years of experience, she specializes in case management, long term care, labor and delivery, and medical/surgical nursing.
Kathryn was educated at Belmont College in 1990 becoming Licensed Practical Nurse, before obtaining her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Southern State Community College. Furthermore, Kathryn holds additional certification in Perinatal Bereavement, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and is Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certified. Kathryn was named OB Nurse of the Year two times in 2011 and 2012.
Kathryn decided to become a nurse when she was a teenager. She has always loved caring for people, being an intricate part of a person’s life, and providing care that aids in a person’s quality of life. Kathryn attributes her success to her dedication and determination, as well as always being open to learning new things. When she is not assisting patients, Kathryn enjoys hiking, riding horses, and other outdoor activities.
