Dr. Butler has been in practice for over ten years and is currently serving patients at Boardman Orthopedics & Hand Surgery – Mercy Health in Boardman, Ohio, and is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Dr. Butler believes the treatment of hand ailments requires a team approach, including nonoperative management, therapy and surgical intervention. He provides a complete evaluation of the extremity including vascular, neurologic, and orthopedic joint examination to determine the best course of treatment.
Dr. Butler attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Degree in 2001. He then went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, followed by his Hand Surgery fellowship at The Philadelphia Hand Center/ Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Butler is board certified in the specialty of Orthopedic Surgery and the sub-specialty of Hand Surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He stays at the forefront of a challenging industry through his professional memberships with the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery. A published author, Dr. Butler attributes his success to good training and great mentors. When he is not assisting patients, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and outdoor activities.
