The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome De Borah R. Basemore, RN, BSN, MHN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. De Borah R. Basemore is a registered nurse working for Humana in Mesa, Arizona. With over 35 years of experience in nursing, she is a telephonic nurse consultant and a specialist in mental health nursing.
De Borah R. Basemore gained her initial nursing qualification from Spencerian College in 1981, followed by her Associate degree in Nursing from Jefferson Community College in 1990. De Borah then gained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from McKendree University in 2001, before completing her Master’s degree at Aspen University in Colorado. Furthermore, she is currently pursuing her Doctorate, is a registered Mental Health Nurse, and a certified Hemoglobinopathies Counselor.
In addition to being a telephonic nurse consultant and a mental health specialist, De Borah is also an expert in sickle cell disease, and has had numerous medical papers published on this subject. She has won two Black Achievers Awards and a Jefferson Community Outstanding Nurse Award, and attributes her success to the great mentors she’s had throughout her education and nursing career. When she is not working, De Borah enjoys walking, traveling, spending time with friends, and is committed to her ministry work at church.
