He is a highly trained and qualified radiation oncologist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially therapeutic radiation oncology and testicular procedures. Dr. Schroeder has been in practice for 33 years and is currently serving patients at Alan F. Schroeder Private Counseling in Santa Rosa, California. He is additionally affiliated with Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Schroeder attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where he received his Medical Degree in 1960. His postgraduate training includes his internship in Youngstown, Ohio, and fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is certified by the American Board of Radiation Oncology, and maintains professional memberships with the American College of Radiology, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, and the American Radium Society. Dr. Schroeder has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Radiology, and has received an award for his part in preparing the resident board exam training guide by the United States Air Force. Dr. Schroeder attributes his success to trying to like everyone and be liked, as well as staying current with research. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Schroeder enjoys traveling, playing golf, and gardening.
