Dr. Kotowicz is the Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the University Hospital Geelong and holds over 38 years of experience, specializing in bone and calcium disorders.
Dr. Kotowicz graduated from the University of Sydney in 1976 and completed postgraduate training at Sydney Hospital, the Repatriation General Hospital (Concord) and the Prince Henry/Prince of Wales Hospital Group. He remains an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society, the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, the International Bone and Mineral Society, the International Osteoporosis Foundation, the European Calcified Tissue Society, the Endocrine Society, the Australian Diabetes Society and the Endocrine Society of Australia. He is also currently Chair of the Therapeutics Committee of the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society.
Dr. Kotowicz has published over 150 journal articles and has conducted six research trials on male and female osteoporosis. He attributes his success to his ability to maintain impossible hours.
