Congregation Mekor Shalom, the conservative synagogue in the Carrollwood area of Tampa, is pleased to announce Continental Wholesale Diamonds and Huntington Learning Center as the newest sponsors of the 4th Annual Charity Chelm Auction.
Both have signed on as Peace Level Sponsors. Continental Wholesale Diamonds (http://www.continentalwholesalediamonds.com/) will provide the winning bidder with a $300 gift certificate good toward any item in their store; and Huntington Learning Center will provide the winning bidder with $200 worth of tutoring.
“We have such a tremendous variety of donors to the on-line portion of the charity auction event” says Brenda Evans, co-chair of the Charity Chelm Aution. “Whether you are looking for something practical like tutoring for your child or beginning your holiday shopping, we have something for everyone! It’s great to see so many community businesses supporting this charity fundraiser.”
The 4th Annual Charity Chelm Auction is a two-fold FUNdraising Event: an online auction began October 1, 2016, where anyone is welcome to bid on a wide variety of items donated by local attractions, restaurants, and businesses – that ends the evening of the live event, November 19; and a live auction billed as an adult evening of smiles and laughter to benefit Congregation Mekor Shalom, a community of sacred relationships located in North Tampa.

If you are interested in attending the live auction event, to pick-up any items for which you are the winning bidder, the advanced ticket price of $5 per person has been extended through 10/22/16. Founded in 2013, Mekor Shalom is creating a new model for a synagogue: one where people care about people, where people’s presence matters and participation makes a difference. The synagogue has a full-service religious school with Master’s degree-level educators, offers Bar and Bat Mitzvah training without a fee, and presents full Shabbat and holiday services. With a focus on outreach to those who are currently unaffiliated with any synagogue, Mekor Shalom in Tampa relies on member financial commitments that are voluntary.
The 4th Annual Charity Chelm Auction will be held at 7:00 p.m., November 19, 2016 at the Original Carrollwood Recreation Center, 3515 McFarland Road, Tampa, and is open to the public.
Sponsorships for the event run from $18.00 to $18,000 with varying promotional considerations.
