Iva is a Registered Nurse with 60 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially obstetrics nursing, trauma nursing, intensive care, IV therapy, and medical/surgical nursing. Iva Mae received her Nursing degree from Fort Scott Community College in 1957, and has trained at Fort Scott Mercy School of Nursing, in Fort Scott, Kansas. She worked at Orange County Medical Center, in Orange, California, when she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Iva Mae continued to build a thriving career in the nursing field, having experience in various areas especially home nursing and training paramedics in IV therapy. She attributes her success to her love for taking care of patients and seeing their health improve. In her free time, Iva Mae enjoys spending time with her dog, square dancing, reading, and embroidery. Additionally, Iva Mae helps her friends and neighbors when they need her help.
