The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Daniel Lee Kelly, MD, FAAFP, Urgent Care and Family Medicine Physician, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is highly-trained and qualified in Urgent Care medicine. He has been board certified in Family Medicine for thirty years with vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially emergency medicine, where he was board certified by the BCEM until 2015. Dr. Kelly has been practicing for over 33 years and is currently serving patients at the Piedmont Urgent Care Center at Baxter Village in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Dr. Kelly received his Medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formerly MCV) in 1983. He then went on to complete his residency training at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Kelly remains an active member of the the North Carolina Medical Society, and the South Carolina Medical Association, along with earning the coveted title of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He makes a difference in the lives of his patients by listening and communicating with them. Dr. Kelly has been an instructor of Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support for 30 years. He also volunteers with Catholic Relief Services and was honored with the Physician Recognition Award by the American Medical Association from 1995 until 2005.
Dr. Kelly attributes his success to his perseverance. He also thanks his mother for showing him how to take advantage of his memory and intelligence and how to put it to good use through helping people in times of need. Over the years, he held faculty appointments at the Medical College of Georgia and the Uniformed Health Services Academy and was managing partner for Charlotte Emergency Physicians. When he is not working, Dr. Kelly enjoys playing golf, politics, and walking.
Dr. Kelly lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Shelley McElhanon. They have three boys, Rory, Ryan, and Casey. They are proud to have three grandchildren Tadhd, Maya, and Jack.
