The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Tamela Parkinson, LPN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. Tamela Parkinson is a licensed practical nurse working for Aetna in High Point, North Carolina as a Health coach to help improve 1 life at a time. With over 26 years of experience in the nursing field, she specializes in health coaching, pediatric nursing, Women’s Health, and Med Surgical.
Tamela obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in 1990, and has since become a qualified Paralegal and licensed practical nurse. Furthermore, she is currently enrolled at Columbia Southern University pursuing her Bachelors in Healthcare Management. She remains an active member of the National League for Nursing, and also belongs to the Lifenet organization and Carolina Organ Donation Association.
Throughout her long and successful career, Tamela has gained experience in various areas of nursing, and she has also been honored with an Excellence in Nursing award from the Salem VA Medical Center in Virginia. She says that her success is attributed to the support and encouragement that her grandmother gave to her as a child, and she now enjoys spending time with her own grandchildren, as well as reading and researching Civil War history.
