Furthermore, Dr. Bernal acts as Clinical Professor at Ponce Medical School in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Bernal graduated from the Universidad Central del Caribe in 1986, prior to his internship at Maryland General Hospital of the University of Maryland. He then completed his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, as well as a one year Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bernal maintains professional memberships with the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. Additionally, he is the recipient of the Doctors’ Choice Awards from 2005 until 2015, and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Bernal attributes his success to his patients, practice associates, and the inspiration from his dad who is also a radiologist. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Bernal dedicates his free time to playing and watching basketball.
