Now retired from clinical practice after 20 years, Dr. Brammer is the CEO of his own company, Brammer MD. As a Medicolegal Consultant, he implements Point-of-Care-Testing (POCT) throughout the United States EMS system. POCT allows air/ground ambulance teams to make real time changes in treatment, choose the correct destination hospital, and allows EMS personnel to identify a sick person much faster. Dr. Brammer has recently taken a prestigious position with Patrick Search Associates as a medical recruiter where he is the head of the Healthcare Division.
In pursuit of a career in medicine, Dr.Brammer graduated from the University of Washington, a top-tier medical school, with a significant contribution to the cutting edge project “Biomagnetic Localization of Current Dipoles in the Heart Wall”. As an MD, he was selected for the University of Arizona, Department of Emergency Medicine Residency Program, which is recognized as the preeminent program in the United States. As a Resident, Dr. Brammer was honored for his work in Toxicology. He is board trained/board certified in Emergency Medicine, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Brammer attributes his success to his ability to diagnose and his ability to relate to a wide variety of people. He is a recognized authority on Advanced Cardiac Resuscitation, in addition to being an innovator and program specialist in Emergency Medical Services. He has held multiple executive leadership roles within the two largest hospital systems in the region: Multicare Health Care Systems and CHI Franciscan Health. Furthermore, Dr. Brammer has received a number of honors and awards including the Excellence in Toxicology Award at the University of Arizona, and the Gig Harbor Medic One EMS Medical Advisor Award. Dr. Brammer has also published seven articles in prestigious journals such as the Annals of Emergency Medicine, as well as having published four international op-ed international newspaper articles on medicine. Dr. Brammer dedicates his free time to mountaineering, basketball, tennis, and classical music.
