Dr. Hirshfeld received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Sociology & Anthropology from Tel Aviv University, Israel. In 2001 & 2005 respectively, she acquired her Masters of Arts Degree & PHD in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco Bay (CSPP/AIU); She completed internships from Community Counseling and Education Services CCEC in Fremont; Mission Mental Health Services, MMH in SF; Followed by her Predoc Internship from Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center. Furthermore, Dr. Hirshfeld completed a PostDoc internship from Stanford University CAPS in 2006. She has served on the board of directors as well as served as VP of the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis, & Faculty between 2001-2012. She served as integral part of the PTSD Research Program at SFVA Medical Center UCSF, PI Charles Marmar between 2002-2007.
Dr. Hirshfeld served with Israel’s Defense Forces as well as worked with Vietnam Era Veterans, Police officers from all Bay Area Academies, and their spouses and children. Dr. Hirshfeld believes that each patient is unique and follows their journey. Dr. Hirshfeld dedicates her free time to music, reading, painting, and spending time with her family.\
