With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Zoe R. Melendez, RN, MSN, CWCN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Zoe is a registered nurse with five years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially nursing education. Zoe is currently serving as Assistant Professor on the Nursing Program Faculty at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, Washington, where she teaches Med Surg II Clinical, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology.
Zoe attended Lake Washington Institute of Technology where she received her Associate degree in Nursing in 2011. She then acquired her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2013 from Western Governor’s University, where she also earned her Master’s in Nursing with a focus on Leadership and Management in 2015. An advocate for continuing education, Zoe is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Capella University with an anticipated graduation date in 2018. Furthermore, Zoe received her certificate in state of the art wound care assessment and treatment from the University of Washington Wound Management Education Program.
To keep up to date in the challenging nursing field, Zoe maintains professional memberships with the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, and the International Nurses Association. Zoe feels that she owes her success to having been blessed with excellent mentors along the way that encouraged her to reach for more. In her spare time, Zoe enjoys reading and relaxing.
