She also teaches as an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Sawhney was educated at University of California, San Francisco and completed her internship at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital. Dr. Sawhney is board certified in family practice by the American Board of Family Medicine, is a Diplomate Ayurveda, and is trained in homeopathy and energy medicine. Furthermore, she maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, San Diego Academy of Family Physicians, and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
Dr. Sawhney attributes her success to her love of working with patients and being a part of their lives. When not teaching or assisting patients, she enjoys Zumba, walking, painting, meditation, and Pranayama.
