Highly Regarded Nurse Shelley Patrick Castellino, RN, BSN, will be Highlighted in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Shelley Patrick Castellino, BSN, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Shelley is a newly graduated registered nurse.

Shelley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California in 1986. In 1996, she became a holistic health practitioner with a focus on massage therapy at the International Professional School of Bodywork. Furthermore, Shelley became a certified phlebotomy technician at the Universal Schools & Colleges of Health and Human Services in 2010. Shelly also graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the National University, in San Diego, California.

Shelley keeps current with the latest developments, guidelines, and procedures by maintaining professional memberships with the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society, the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety, the National Patient Safety Foundation, the Washington State Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, the California Nurses Association, and the Pinnacle National Honor Society.

Shelley received the 2014-2016 National University Student Appreciation Recognition, and maintains her certifications in Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and ECG with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. While attending San Diego Mesa College, she volunteered at the local San Diego County Animal Shelter to walk dogs. Shelley also trained for and walked in two marathons, and has engaged in several outreach programs to provide massages to abused women and athletes completing events. Shelley credits her success to her outgoing, personable and excellent communication skills. She dedicates her spare time to quilting, rowing, hiking, and raising and training German Shepherd dogs.
