Burns, RN, BSN (Honors), MN, NP-Adult to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Peter is a Nurse Practitioner working in the Emergency Department at the Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Site in Windsor, Ontario and has been also affiliated historically as a critical care nurse, human factors analyst and preceptor with the University Health Network. With over 12 years of experience, he specializes in critical care and emergency care.

Peter was educated at the University of Toronto, where he obtained both his Bachelor Degree and Master’s Degrees in Nursing, with a focus in Critical and Emergent Nursing Care. Due to his accomplishments, he is a past recipient of the Bloomberg Scholarship, an inductee of Sigma Theta Tau and remains a professional member of the Canadian Nurses Association, the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario, and the Canadian Critical Care Society.

Peter attributes his success to the fact that he comes from a family of nurses, with his mother, sister, two of his aunts, and several cousins all being nurses. In his free time, he enjoys running, kayaking, photography, cooking, music, reading, and spending time outdoors with his two young children.
