The American Security Act of 2016

Top Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman challenged GOP presidential hopefuls to support the Muslim registration bill, THE AMERICAN SECURITY ACT OF 2016.

In a bold attempt to drastically reduce the risk of terror on American soil, ultra-Conservative and top Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman today began prepping legislation on Capitol Hill that would require every county and parish in the U.S. to register Muslims living in their area. On his syndicated talk radio show, which is also simulcast on Newsmax TV, he challenged the GOP presidential candidates to support it.

The bill, still in draft form and called THE AMERICAN SECURITY ACT OF 2016, would not only mandate that local governments maintain a database of those in their area who are Muslim or practice Islam, but would also require them to post the names and addresses on a publicly accessible website, similar to a sexual offender registry.

“It is sad that such measures have become necessary, but we must put the safety of our country ahead of political correctness,” said Burkman. “The time has come to do what most of us know is sensible. How many of our children must die for the sake of political correctness?”

Expecting backlash from the left, Burkman also hit back against the hypocritical nature of his critics.

“Those liberals who would oppose our initiative would do well to remember that American women cannot even enter most Muslim nations without shrouding their faces,” added Burkman. “How can one support the rights of women and oppose our bill?”

In addition to walking the halls of Congress to push the bill, Burkman says he is reaching out to each of the GOP presidential candidates, challenging them to support the bill if elected president.

“The time has come for candidates like Trump and Cruz to stop talking and start acting,” said Burkman. “By endorsing this bill, they will be putting their money where their mouths are.”

No stranger to controversy, in 2014 Burkman drafted a bill that would ban gay players from the NFL.

In addition to being named the top lobbyist by The Hill, Burkman also hosts a weekly syndicated radio show that is now simulcast on Newsmax TV on Saturdays.

Newsmax TV is a conservative news outlet available to 40 million U.S. homes via cable and satellite services, such as Verizon FiOS, DISH, DIRECTV, in addition to smartphones. In fact, more than 100 million Americans can turn into Newsmax TV via free online mobile and tablet apps.
