Music stars Becky G, Maluma, Victor Manuelle join Telemundo’s ‘La Voz Kids’ as mentors during upcoming ‘battle rounds’

The three mentors will help coaches Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez, and Pedro Fernandez in the development of young contestants to get ready for the electrifying second phase of the singing competition

telemundoTELEMUNDO’s “La Voz Kids” wraps up the “Blind Auditions” phase this Sunday, April 19, completing the selection of the 54 kids who will move into the upcoming “Battle Rounds.” The network announced earlier that two of today’s top young music idols, Becky G and Maluma, along with Latin music star Victor Manuelle, will join Coaches Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez, and Pedro Fernandez as mentors to kids the on the hit singing competition. The Coaches, with the help of their new mentors, will now dedicate themselves to developing their teams, sharing the secrets of their success, giving advice to the young contestants, and nurturing their bourgeoning talent to prepare them for the much anticipated “Battle Rounds” phase.

ABOUT THE MENTORS:

BECKY G will mentor #TeamYankee. Becky began writing and recording her songs at age 11. The 17-year-old singer-songwriter is the winner of Radio Disney Music Awards’ “Best New Artist” award, and named one of Time magazine’s most influential teens in 2014, as well as one of Billboard magazine’s 21 under 21 (2014) Music’s Hottest Young Stars. Her latest single, “Can’t Stop Dancin’,” is another hit in her booming music career. She has more than 125 million YouTube plays to date.

MALUMA will mentor #TeamNatalia. The 2013 Latin GRAMMY nominee for “Best New Artist” is currently finishing his upcoming album, “Pretty Boy/Dirty Boy.” Its first single, “El Tiki,” is already a worldwide hit. The former winning Coach of “La Voz Kids” Colombia 2014, is a 21-year-old heartthrob who has the distinction of being the first male Latino music artist to surpass 3 million followers on Instagram. Additionally, he has more than 12 million Facebook fans, 1.7 million Twitter followers and more than 400 million views on his official YouTube channel.

VICTOR MANUELLE will mentor #TeamPedro. This international music star, known to his fans as “El Sonero de la Juventud” (The Singer of the Youth), is one of the top Latino music performers and best-selling artists. With many accolades to his name, he is a No. 1 singles hit-maker on the Billboard charts. He just released his new single, “Algo Le Pasa a Mi Heroe,” from his upcoming production “Que Suenen los Tambores.”

“La Voz Kids” gives the audience the opportunity to witness how the stars of the future are discovered and developed while the Coaches search for the nation’s best young singing talent to compete on the Sunday night reality competition. The winner receives a recording contract and a $50,000 cash prize to support their education.
