NBC Sports Group to provide comprehensive coverage of USSA Sprint U.S. Grand Prix from Park City this weekend

NBC Sports GroupNBC Sports Group will showcase a field featuring the world’s top-ranked international freeskiers and snowboarders this weekend, including 2014 U.S. Olympic gold medalists Maddie Bowman, Joss Christensen, and David Wise, with comprehensive coverage of the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix in Park City, Utah. Telecast coverage begins Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and continues Sunday at Noon ET on NBC.

NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets – will provide exclusive live coverage of this weekend’s Sprint U.S. Grand Prix finals, beginning Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET with the slopestyle snowboarding finals.

Additional athletes expected to compete include 2002 U.S. Olympic gold medalist and two-time Olympic bronze medalist Kelly Clark, as well as 2014 U.S. Olympic silver medalists Devin Logan and Gus Kenworthy.

NBCSN’s coverage begins Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET with the halfpipe skiing finals. NBC’s coverage on Sunday at Noon ET will feature the slopestyle finals in skiing and snowboarding, followed by an encore presentation of the slopestyle finals on NBCSN at 2:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN will also provide coverage of the snowboard halfpipe finals on Thursday, March 4 at 12 a.m. ET.

Live Extra’s exclusive live-streaming coverage begins Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET with the slopestyle snowboarding finals, followed by the slopestyle skiing finals at 3 p.m. ET. Live Extra’s coverage continues Saturday at 2 p.m. ET with the halfpipe skiing finals, followed by the halfpipe snowboarding finals on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

This week’s event at Park City Mountain Resort, host of the 2002 Olympic snowboarding halfpipe event, marks the final event in the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix, and will award the top woman and the top two men in slopestyle and halfpipe snowboarding a spot the compete at the 2015 Burton U.S. Open in Vail, Colo., next week.
