After Christmas is when supplies of food and resources are lowest at area shelters. ‘Christmas in January’ events will also take place in Tampa, Fla. and Ottawa, Ontario. Global Village Champions will give away a total of 350,000 meals and $20,000 total in cash donations for perishable food items and spices. GVCF has ONE BILLION meals to needy people around the world.
