Global Village Champions FoundationThis past week, Global Village Champions Foundation (GVCF), the not-for-profit that has supplied over 984 million meals worldwide, partnered with two organizations to increase their efforts in providing nourishment and a more salubrious way of life for those in need.

Starting this past Sunday, June 15, and ending September 15, 2014, the Coffee Connoisseur Club is partnering with Global Village Champions Foundation, contributing 25% of all profits made through purchases on www.coffeethatgives.org.

Additionally the nonprofit, through its countless endorsement from world-renowned athletes like Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan, are selling the sports memorabilia they have amassed throughout the years, to support their cause. The memorabilia will be sold at SportsForYou.net until the supply runs out.

“We are ecstatic with these amazing initiatives in place,” rejoiced GVCF Yank Barry. “We said when we first started that we wanted Global Village Champions to be the undisputed world leader in providing nutrition and better living for those suffering around the world, and this is another big step in that direction.”

Since 1995, GVCF has been a leader in the attempt to eradicate hunger from the Earth. When Barry, a former rock n’ roll singer turned global philanthropist, started the nonprofit two decades ago, his vision was to supply one billion meals to disparate and disaster stricken areas at great times of need.

The foundation’s most recent efforts have turned toward the Syrian refugee crisis where GVCF, spearheaded by Barry, has helped Syrian refugees establish more prosperous lives in Bulgaria, equipping them with comfortable housing, food, clothing, medical supplies among other necessities.

“Helping people is an addition,” stated Barry. “Once you start doing it, and you see the look of joy and relief on the people that have been suffering for quite some time, you just want to do it more and more.”
