The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Suncoast Chapter has announced its first annual Learning Technologies Tradeshow on July 17, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Tampa Centre Club.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet industry experts demonstrating software tools used to create training and development programs for their organizations. These tools will include e-learning authoring tools, web conferencing platforms, video editing software, social media tools, and more.
Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will also be provided for those in attendance.
“The ASTD Suncoast Chapter is dedicated to helping professionals in the Tampa Bay area by offering a hands on, in-depth look into innovative technology that will greatly assist anyone in any career field,” said Steve Cascone, president of ASTD Suncoast.
The cost of attendance is $45 for non-members and $40 for members. Non-members will also be able to purchase event registration and receive an annual membership for $75, a savings of $25 if purchased separately.
“This event is structured for the attendees to receive unbiased information about each tool, they’ll get the most information possible,” said Nick Elkins, ASTD Suncoast’s eLearning Special Interest Group (E-SIG) representative and event organizer. “There won’t be any formalized presentations that limit the scope of the questions attendees may have about the demonstrated program or tool.”
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2014, the ASTD Suncoast Chapter is a nonprofit professional association serving both local and national members in the Suncoast region of Florida. Affiliated with the National ASTD, the chapter members are practitioners, managers, administrators, educators, students and researchers who work in the field of training and human resource development.
