PSCU rolls out new mobile app for loyalty rewards

Members on the move can check points, review offers and make redemptions

PSCUPSCU announced at MoPRO 2014: Imagine the Road Forward, the company’s annual meeting of Member-Owners, that a mobile app for its CURewards® Loyalty program is now available for downloading to iPhone and Android smartphones. Members of PSCU’s credit unions enrolled in the company’s CURewards program can use the app to view merchandise redemption options, review offers and check on points.

“Today’s members need mobile-based apps that let them connect to and manage their credit union accounts wherever they are and at any time,” said Tom Gandre, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at PSCU. “The loyalty app is the newest in our mobile solution set that empowers our credit unions’ members to do more when they’re on the move.”

The loyalty app, called CURewards, is free from the Apple App Store and Google Play; Member-Owners and credit union users can download the app and register via the device.

PSCU currently has 175 credit unions and over 1 million users enrolled in its merchant-funded CURewards Mall program, which includes 400 online and 17,000 local, regional and national brick-and-mortar merchants. The company reports that members with rewards cards spend 60% more and conduct 30% more transactions than non-rewards cardholders.

PSCU’s mobile suite includes a mobile banking app (mBanking), a Remote Deposit Capture app and an app that lets members access and manage their credit union credit card accounts. The new loyalty app also allows members to receive CURewards Mall offers from nearby merchants based on the member’s current location.
