In association with The PR Institute, the press release newswire PR NewsChannel today announced new curriculum for 2014 for its popular social media press release writing workshop.
The hands-on, two-three hour social media press release writing workshop will be presented throughout the year at conferences in the U.S. and Canada and to groups at corporate offices.
The workshops teach attendees how to write a press release, how to search engine optimize a press release so that it appears in the search engines where you want it to and how to share a press release via social media. Workshop attendees write a press release together which is distributed via PR NewsChannel.
“It’s a real-time test that is designed to demonstrate the power of press releases,” says Glenn Selig, president and CEO of Selig Multimedia, Inc., which owns and operates both PR NewsChannel and The PR Institute. “It’s a rush for us and a thrill for the attendees when we accomplish our goal. After all, seeing is believing.”
In 2014, the social media press release writing workshop is already scheduled to be presented in Las Vegas, Chicago and St. Petersburg, Fla. among other cities.
“We have not done any advertising and marketing for the social media press release writing workshop over the years and it has gained a life on its own,” says Selig. “That both speaks volumes about the quality of the workshop and the takeaways attendees get from it.”
