Honorary co-chair Sen. Joe Lieberman hosted more than 50 atendees at the inaugural event of the Bipartisan Coalition for American Security (BCAS).

A diverse group of stakeholders gathered on Tuesday night for the inaugural event of the Bipartisan Coalition for American Security (BCAS) for a roundtable discussion on national security and the importance of keeping America safe and secure.

At the event, BCAS introduced what its calling the DIME strategy.

Gathering to discuss vital American interests including Diplomacy, Intelligence, Military and Economic issues that relate to global security and vital economic interests, the event was attended by current and former political leaders and a broad spectrum of leading industry and not for profit interests.

“This event is a reminder of how American values and security transcend politics and can bring us all together,” said honorary BCAS co-chairs Senators Joe Lieberman and Scott Brown in a joint statement.

The event, held near The Capitol, included a round table of roughly 50 people who participated in a discussion featuring U.S. Senators John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH).

During the evening’s discussion, a decisive broad consensus emerged on taking a comprehensive and exhaustive approach to U.S. leadership at home and abroad.

“Great minds and strong leaders are required for such an important discussion,” said event host Elliott Broidy in his opening remarks. “The organization we have formed is something we have labored over with many people who share our concerns and interest in this nation’s future. A bottom-up, grassroots, on-line and digitally comprehensive movement is our vision. BCAS is committed to being a new and unique voice for America.”
