Sony Music and its distributed labels raked in big nominations in top categories for the prestigious Premios Tu Mundo awards announced live on Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día”.
Top categories in which Sony Music received nods: “Canción Comienza-Fiestas” (Starts-Party Song), “Canción Más Popular del Año” (Most Popular Song of the Year), “mun2 presenta Mejor Video Musical” (mun2 presents Best Music Video) and “Video Viral Favorito” (Favorite Viral Video).
Young Latino audiences will celebrate everything that enlivens their world when winners of the Premios Tu Mundo awards are announced next month in Miami.
Among the nominees is Gerardo Ortíz leading with two nominations in the categories for “Canción Comienza-Fiestas” (Starts-Party Song) and “mun2 Presenta Mejor Video Musical” (mun2 Presents Best Music Video) for his hit song “Damaso”. Also nominated are Prince Royce for his song “Incondicional”, Carlos Vives for his song “Volví a Nacer” and Marc Anthony for his collaboration with Tito El Bambino on his song “Por Que Les Mientes”, all competing for the award in the category for “Canción Más Popular del Año” (Most Popular Song of the Year).
Music makes up a big part of this awards ceremony, which is much plugged in to the trends and technology used by the rising generation of young Latinos. Furthermore, these awards recognize the year’s best in soap-opera’s, movies, fashion, sports, web and social media.
The second annual Premios Tu Mundo takes place on August 15th from the American Airlines Arena in Miami and will be produced and televised live on Telemundo Network.
