SONY MUSIC Latin has taken control of the U.S. Billboard Latin charts by owning the number one position in six out of the nine categories.
The record label’s chart topping roster is led by the works of Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Prince Royce, and Romeo Santos.
Two of the label’s artists have taken top honors in multiple charts, with Carlos Vives’ album, Corazon Profundo, placing as the top Latin album and the number one Latin pop album.
Romeo Santos album, Formula: Vol. 1 is the number one Tropical Album and “Llevame Contigo” is in the top position for Tropical Songs.
Marc Anthony topped the Hot Latin Song charts for “Vivir Mi Vida,” and Prince Royce took the number one Latin Pop Song position for “Te Me Vas.”

Billboard has long been the world’s premier music outlet. The Billboard charts serve as the primary source of information on trends and innovation in music for fans, artists, executives, radio programmers and retailers. The first Latin chart, hot Latin Songs, was introduced in 1986
This is the just the latest in a string of good news for SONY MUSIC Latin.
The Latin record label recently led the industry with 39 nominations for the Premios Juventud 2013 awards.
Prince Royce and Romeo Santos were nominated a combined 17 times, with Pitbull, Thalía, Gerardo Ortíz and Ricky Martin also earning notable nominations with an additional 17 between the four. Winners will be announced July 18.
