Hands on social media workshop

Nonprofits struggling to get content seen and read joined the Global Strategic Management Institute for a social media workshop in Denver, CO on August 22, 2012. In this hands-on social media workshop, a wide range of professionals learned how to write a press release from a nonprofit perspective.

Attendees learned from industry experts how to write a “new school” press release optimized for audience engagement. Past participants reported that these new skills have helped to increase fundraising, participation in events, and positive publicity.

The workshop at the Denver event attracted 30 participants, including 10 from nonprofit organizations. Bob Jones from National Public Radio said, “this nonprofit social media workshop far exceeded my expectations.” During the hands-on social media workshop, Jones said he learned how to write press releases geared toward nonprofit organizations.

Additional hands-on social media workshops are scheduled worldwide throughout 2013. Sign up at www.socialmediastrategies.com for this social media workshop to learn how to write press releases for nonprofits.
