Memphis company launches LOCAL X Memphis

On August 14, 2012, Memphis, a city steeped in musical history, marks another innovation with the launch of LOCAL X Radio and LOCAL X Memphis — the world’s first 100-percent-streaming broadcast platform that’s both a station and an application for wireless devices.

LOCAL X Radio uses dedicated 4G/3G technology and a proprietary patent-pending process to stream its programming at a much higher bit rate than terrestrial radio stations — resulting in exceptional sound quality on wireless devices.
