The Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) and Elder Automotive Group have teamed up to forge a three-year exclusive partnership. In addition to showcasing vehicles at select TBSC sanctioned events, with special emphasis on the annual Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree and Tampa Bay Sports Commission Golf Tournament, Elder Automotive will be the official automotive dealership/group of the TBSC.
“We could not be more appreciative of Elder Automotive for helping put together this unique partnership,” said executive director of the TBSC, Rob Higgins. “Both organizations are firmly committed to making a significant positive impact on our incredible community, so it makes a lot of sense for us to be strategically aligned.”
The partnership will kick off this month with Replay Tampa Bay, a holiday sporting goods drive taking place from Nov. 17 through Dec. 27, 2011.
Through this program, and the assistance of DeBartolo Sports and Events, Metropolitan Ministries and the Ryan Nece Foundation, members of the Tampa Bay community have the opportunity to help local kids in need this holiday season by donating new or gently used sporting goods at one of three Elder Automotive locations.
Those who donate an item will receive a voucher for a complimentary small pizza from Papa John’s Pizza and a complimentary McDonald’s McCafe beverage (from participating locations). Donors will also be eligible to win special prizes, such as suite tickets to local sporting events.
“We are happy to be a part of this community, as well as becoming a partner with such a great organization as the Tampa Bay Sports Commission,” said Rob Elder of Elder Automotive Group. “When it comes to our company values I think my mom Irma, our founder of the company, said it best in that ‘we strive to be the best we can be at selling cars and taking care of our customers, and we’re not happy unless our customer is happy.’”
