It’s not only the kids that get antsy as summer arrives. So do parents–especially those house-hunting and planning to relocate before school gets back in session. The clock is ticking.
Steve and Mary Bartlett from Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago, have two children, ages 9 and 7. And they’re searching for an executive home in Tampa located in a golf course community.
Their home sold quickly. And now it’s a matter of finding an executive home in Tampa that’s right for them–one preferably located in a gated, golf course community.
But now through summer is the busiest time for searching for executive homes for sale in Tampa that are located in golf course communities.
“We want four bedrooms and four baths,” says Mary Bartlett of the dream executive home in Tampa she’s scouting. “My husband loves golf so a golf course community in the Tampa area would be ideal.”
She says she’s been searching the MLS listings, the Multiple Listings Service database that contains the homes for sale for weeks. But nothing caught her eye–until now.
The house is an executive home in Tampa, in a gated and guarded community, with a golf course. It seems perfect.
The two-story traditional home has five bedrooms, four baths and is located just north of Tampa, in Cheval, a prestigious golf course and country club community. The subdivision is also gated and guarded 24/7.
This executive home in Tampa also has a pool and spa. The pool and spa are situated in a spacious caging to provide plenty of room for the Bartletts to entertain or for their family gatherings. The pool is solar heated and the spa is heated by propane.
“Coming from Chicago just the thought of a pool and spa is thrilling,” says Bartlett.
The house, which also has a huge master suite, is priced at $385,000.

“Cheval is a beautiful neighborhood and this is a gorgeous home that shows really well,” says Tampa real estate agent Linda Roberts, of Florida Executive Reality, who represents the property. “The public schools serving Cheval are among the best in the area. And the home is even down the block from a community park.”
Built in 2001, the home has had only one owner.
“I’ve already called a Tampa realtor and made an appointment to see the house,” says Mary Bartlett of the executive Tampa home. “I’m flying down next week.”
Years ago, she acknowledges, looking for a home like this would never have been possible.
“The Internet has revolutionized so many things,” says Bartlett. “And searching for an executive home in Tampa when you’re in Chicago is one of them.”
