SAN ANTONIO, Texas / The mission statement behind ArmyBassAnglers (ABA) is “SUPPORT. DEFEND. FISH.,” and Scott Burris and John Mills, co-owners of Fury Lures, pledged their support today of the ABA mission through a multi-year sponsorship.
“To all of those who serve in our nation’s armed services and put themselves in harm’s way to protect our freedom and liberties, Fury Lures is honored to have signed a multi-year contract with ABA. We believe wholeheartedly in the ABA objectives, commitment to our Service Members and their mission as we strive to uphold those same principles in our business. We are proud to have been accepted into the ABA family and are excited about our future together.”
ABA consists of 12 pro staff anglers and 185 coalition anglers, all of whom are active duty or retired U.S. military from all branches of service. The group currently fishes Bass Champs on the World Fishing Network and numerous grassroots events. It gained national prominence as the Ceremonial Launch Boats for the past three Bassmasters Classics, and raised national awareness for Returning Heroes Home, Heroes on the Water and Veteran Outdoors.
The Warrior and Family Support Center, ABA’s original non-profit, is a 12,000-square foot rehabilitation center funded solely by private donations, and provides space for wounded soldiers undergoing treatment in San Antonio. The center allows them to spend private time with their friends and families when they are not actively participating in rehabilitative treatment.
Heroes on the Water is a National non-profit 501(c)(3) that focuses its efforts on kayaking and fishing as a rehabilitative outdoor activity for wounded veterans recovering from their combat injures. HOW is an incredible alternative to power boat fishing and outdoor recreation, and has provided very inspiring results both in physical and emotional rehabilitation.
Veteran Outdoors is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that completes the ArmyBassAngler’s Task Force of non-profits that provides big game one-of-a-kind hunting and fishing experiences for wounded veterans with some of the country’s most experienced pros and guides all focused on the wounded hero and his story.
"We are extremely excited about joining Forces with the Fury Lures and the ability to add another incredible product line of weapons to our arsenal—a custom line of crankbaits that make us even more deadly and competitive on the water," stated ArmyBassAnglers President Cody Roberson.
"Additionally, these baits were designed by some pretty accomplished anglers in Scott and John, and we even had the privilege of helping zero these weapons in the design phase, so we are just a bit more excited about their performance than most. With that said, ABA is continually seeking premier companies to support our Mission and Fury Lures is a perfect combat multiplier that gives our pros and coalition a new and enhanced tactical advantage in any tournament. We are proud to join forces with a company and product as advanced as Fury’s F-4 Phantom and F-18 Hornet product line of weapons. HOOAH,” added Roberson. "We look forward to a long, strong relationship with Fury and putting this incredible line products into the hands of America’s finest."
As a thank-you to all service members for their sacrifice and service, Fury Lures and ArmyBassAnglers have joined forces to offer a 15 percent discount on all Fury Lures by using the promotional code ABAMD.
