(PRNewsChannel) / November 10, 2009 / Tampa, Fla. / Tampa dermatologist Dr. Seth Forman says there’s something to all the rumors about Sammy Sosa’s changing skin color. Speculation about the retired slugger’s skin began after a recent appearance at an awards show in Las Vegas.
“He either had a massive bleaching with a topical agent or serious laser treatment,” says the Tampa dermatologist. “He has definitely changed the color of his skin.”
Sosa says he underwent a skin rejuvenation process to reverse years of sun damage. Dr. Forman says those type of procedures are common, but does not recommend them for everyone.
“You have to be careful when doing procedures that deal with the pigment of your skin. There can be complications,” he explains. “Of course, results differ from person to person. In Sosa’s case, his skin color is noticeably lighter.”
