(PR NewsChannel) / September 01, 2010 / CHICAGO and NEW YORK / The former governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich has accepted an invitation to appear at Advertising Week, a premier event for advertising and media leaders that will also feature Sir Richard Branson, Oscar de la Hoya, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Oliver Stone and Mary J. Blige.

"The governor is looking forward to being a part of such a big event for advertising and media leaders," says Glenn Selig, Blagojevich's publicist.  

Advertising Week is North America’s largest annual gathering of advertising and media industry leaders which will be held in New York, September 27 - October 1. 

A special one-on-one discussion with former Gov. Rod Blagojevich will be included as part of the Advertising Week Trust Forum.  The forum also features Harvard professor Nancy Koehn and privacy chiefs from Google, Microsoft and Yahoo!

Selig says Blagojevich has recently been asked to speak or attend several other upcoming events.  Other announcements, he says, are forthcoming.
