NBC Sports Presents Senior Players Championship This Weekend

Jeep World of Adventure rounds out NBC Sports weekend lineup.

(PRNewsChannel) / New York, N.Y. / NBC Sports presents coverage of the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, the fifth and final senior major, Saturday and Sunday, 4-6 p.m. ET from Baltimore (Md.) Country Club. Tom Kite, Jay Haas, Fuzzy Zoeller, Hale Irwin and defending champion Loren Roberts lead the field. Roberts is looking to win a senior major for the fourth consecutive year. The winner of this event earns a berth in THE PLAYERS next May at TPC Sawgrass.

NBC's golf host Dan Hicks and analyst Gary Koch, who will be competing in and broadcasting the event, will anchor NBC's coverage from the 18th tower, joined by tower reporter Bob Murphy and on-course reporters Roger Maltbie and Dottie Pepper. NBC's coverage is produced by Tommy Roy, one of the most nominated persons in the history of the Sports Emmys.

Baltimore Country Club is one of America's oldest golf clubs, having been founded in 1898. Its East Course has hosted numerous national and international championships and competitions, including the 1928 PGA Championship, 1932 U.S. Amateur Championship, 1965 Walker Cup and 1988 U.S. Women's Open Championship.

JEEP WORLD OF ADVENTURE SATURDAY, 2:30- 4 PM ET
NBC Sports presents another action-packed Jeep World of Adventure Sports Saturday from 2:30-4 p.m. ET, hosted by Pat Parnell. Dean Potter, an acclaimed world climber, attempts to be the first to ascend without ropes on one of the most treacherous faces of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps. Coverage also includes the 2008 Maryhill Festival of Speed, where 200 of gravity sports racers will test their skills and agility in a five-day celebration of speed. Saturday's episode concludes with a look at the dedication of the Honda Superbike team as they prepare for the American Motorcyclists Association race schedule.
