(PRNewsChannel) / June 11, 2008 / Tampa, Fla. - The on your site builder, Tampa-based All State Homes, will be featured in a report airing tonight on WFLA, Newschannel 8 (NBC), owned and operated by Media General (NYSE:MEG), All State Homes announced today.
The report focuses on All State Homes customer Christine Getchell who built a home to be better prepared for hurricanes.
Getchell is among a growing number of Tampa Bay residents who’ve opted to knock down their paid-off older homes or mobile homes to erect new homes that meet tougher hurricane and construction standards.
All State Homes, the Tampa-area builder that specializes in constructing homes on home sites, says a bulk of its business is families living in mobile home or aging homes who want to upgrade to a new home.
“They want to feel safer,” says Ivy Norwood of All State Homes, who was interviewed by Newschannel 8 for the report.
Norwood says during this sluggish housing market, this is one sector that has seen some growth.
The feature story, reported by Lynn Carson, airs tonight at 11pm ET on WFLA, Newschannel 8.
