Former Tech Reporter Rich DeMuro started his own web broadcast in HD, "SynchedUp"

(PRNewsChannel) / February 25, 2009 / Los Angeles, Calif. / Rich DeMuro, most recently the tech reporter for KCBS and KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, has started a new web show called "Synched Up," the longtime reporter and tech guru announced today. It's a fast and fun look at tech news, with a little humor mixed in. The show features tech news, gadgets, new websites, viral videos and anything else connecting the digital world.

"It's a show for people who enjoy technology - not only learning about what's new but getting a little perspective on what it all means," DeMuro says of his new show, currently available through YouTube (http://synchedupshow.com) and already in the Top 30 tech news podcasts on iTunes just weeks after its debut.

Previously, DeMuro’s advice has been heard by millions of people around the country and the world through his reviews on NBC’s Today Show, CNBC, ABC News Tech Bytes, Fox News Channel, the BBC and more.

Rich was recently let go from the LA-duopoly after CBS's acquisition of CNET.  Local stations will soon get their tech segments from the website-based company.  In a bit of irony, DeMuro left his job as host of CNET TV in New York City to work for the LA-based TV stations a little more than a year ago.

DeMuro produces "Synched Up" out of a small LA-based studio on a limited budget, but you can’t tell from watching it. In fact, all of the same equipment used to produce the show has met the muster of DeMuro’s careful tech reviews.

"I started out in local news as a 'one-man-band' but this takes it to another level.  It's amazing to me the quality of equipment, tools and services available today for little to no money," explained DeMuro.  "I put the studio together for next to nothing and can produce the show in high definition and instantly distribute it around the world."

While some television stations still struggle to bring in high definition video around the country, DeMuro’s show broadcasts in full HD and the former reporter is open to syndicating his work with local or national TV stations and tech news shows.

"Synched Up" is available through YouTube and iTunes and can be seen on just about any device - including the iPhone, Apple TV and other mobile devices.
